Directions to Sugarhouse

From Meadville: Take route 77 NE towards Blooming Valley. Go past intersection of route 198 about 2 miles until you reach Lyona Road on your right. Turn onto Lyona Road and immediately veer right onto Maillard Road (dirt road). Go about 1 mile and take a left onto Patterson Road. The sugarhouse is behind the last house on the left on Patterson Road. There is a large sign out front. Please wear boots and dress warm.

Howles Maple Farm is a 4th generation maple syrup business with the 5th generation learning quickly. Updates to our sugarhouse and equipment were made in 2016 including a sap tank holding room, computerized evaporator and new reverse osmosis machine and filter press. We will be open for pancake and ham breakfast, tours, and samples (including a secret new release) both days. Traditionally we offer maple candy, jelly, maple mustards, glazes, salad dressings, BBQ sauces, seasonings, a variety of nuts, cream, cotton candy, maple butter, maple milkshakes, sundaes, lemonade and more! We offer bourbon and rum barrel aged maple syrup and sauces as well as a collection of maple beer by our sister company; Riverside Brewing Company. Howles Maple Farm is one of the 300+ Arts & Crafts Vendors set up in beautiful downtown Franklin, PA for the 35th annual Applefest. Howles Maple Farm will have a full set up of maple candy, jelly, maple mustards, glazes, salad dressings, BBQ sauces, seasonings, a variety of nuts, cream, cotton candy, maple butter, barrel aged maple products and more! Applefest offers a food extravaganza, live entertainment all weekend long, historic district tours, 5K Race for Any Pace, Antique & Classic Car Cruise, apple pancake breakfast, apple pie baking and eating contests, and so much more!
